GDPR
Privacy policy
What QUID collects, why, and how to exercise your rights. In short: as little as possible.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is [NOM OU RAISON SOCIALE DE L’ÉDITEUR], [ADRESSE POSTALE], publisher of quidjournal.com. For any question about your data: contact@quidjournal.com.
What the site does not do
quidjournal.com sets no cookies, uses no audience measurement tools and shows no targeted advertising. No consent banner is therefore needed.
Fonts are hosted with the site: your browser calls no third-party service (such as Google Fonts) to display the pages.
The newsletter
Sign-up to the QUID letter happens on Substack, which hosts the newsletter. When you enter your address on the site, you are sent to Substack, which processes it under its own privacy policy.
Data: your email address. Purpose: sending you the letter. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: until you unsubscribe, in one click from any issue.
The partnerships form and emails
Data: name, company, work email, format in mind and message. Purpose: answering your request and, where relevant, preparing a partnership. Legal basis: QUID’s legitimate interest in answering the requests it receives, and pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
Form messages are delivered by email through Resend (resend.com), acting as a processor. They are kept for three years after the last exchange, then deleted.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States (cloudflare.com). To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, the host processes technical connection data, such as IP addresses, for a limited period.
Some providers are located outside the European Union. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to contact@quidjournal.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with your local authority.
